I’ve had a tad bit more time on my hands to play in my makeup, which has allowed me to test out and try some different products as opposed to sticking to my tried and true favorites. Through that process, I’ve been able to find some new products that I would add to my favorites list. Here are the beauty products that I have been loving lately.
Kiss Sister Nature Lash “Dawn”
If you see me with lashes chances are they are Lily Lashes in any variation of the style “Miami” but a new bombshell has entered the villa with the Kiss Sister Nature Lash in the style “Dawn.” I came to try these lashes through an Earth Day campaign that I worked on with CVS Beauty and I honestly hit the jackpot. It has been my new go-to lash for everyday looks. They look like lash extensions and I’m sure with the KISS Falscara lash glue they could stay on for as long as lash extensions would. For extra drama, I’d consider stacking the lashes and wearing two on each eye.
Dior Beauty Forever Skin Glow Foundation & Skin Correct Concealer
I actually wore the Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation and Concealer for my law school graduation because I learned through research that this foundation is perfect for special occasions where you’ll be on camera—I was delivering a speech so that was exactly what I needed. It photographed and videoed beautifully and I’m not quite sure why I ever stopped using it. I recently received the foundation and several shades of the concealer from the brand and fell in love all over again. Shade 7N is a perfect match for my not-yet sunkissed skin, and I like to use shades 5N and 4.5N to highlight and 9N to contour. Overall, I’d say if you are a solid neutral undertone person like I am, this foundation and concealer line will be great for you and I highly recommend it.
Dior Beauty Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss
While we are already discussing Dior Beauty, I also have to say I have been loving their lip maximizer glosses. I am very well endowed with full lips but I almost always have on a lip-plumping gloss for a little something extra. It’s my guilty pleasure. My particular favorite shade is 001-pink.
Patt McGrath Divine Powder Bronzer
I was blessed enough to meet Pat McGrath last much at a celebration in honor of her new bronzers. Honestly, anything from Pat McGrath has been a hit for me and so it comes as no surprise that I have been particularly fond of her new bronzers. One thing I’ve noticed from observing pro makeup artist techniques is that they rarely use just one shade of something. I was able to leave with two shades: “Burnished Honey” which I apply before layering on the second shade “Bronze Divinity”. One thing to note though is that Sephora does not have the full range of the bronzer and if you want the full range you’ll have to shop directly from Pat McGrath
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base Moisturizer
I had seen a lot of people do reviews of this product compared to the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and wanted to experience it for myself. The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is definitely still a makeup skin prep favorite but I’ve been reaching for this moisturizer more as I think it’s a bit lighter and therefore more summer weather friendly. My skin is nourished instantly and prepped for makeup application (or not) afterward.
Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Glow Serum
And for next-level hydration, especially before applying makeup, the Danessa Myricks Glow Serum in Juice Boost has done a number on me. The impact and glow is immediate. I recently purchased my second bottle after running through my first one and I genuinely believe everyone should try this serum and add it to their makeup prep routine.
