Black Owned Body Oils for Smooth & Soft Skin

If there’s one thing I’m going to do, it’s take care of my body. I care a lot about the things I put in and on my body, and I don’t play when it comes to body care. Body oils are a great way to improve the skin’s barrier and retain it’s moisture. I typically apply an oil on my skin as soon as I’m out the shower while my skin is toweled off but slightly damp. Then I’ll follow up with a body butter for extra hydration. I’ve grown quite the Black-owned candles collection and the same applies for Black owned body oils. I’m sharing the ones you should absolutely check out.

Black Owned Body Oils You Should Shop:

Liha Idan Oil

Liha is a UK based brand inspired by the founders’ Yoruba culture. It’s made with natural, cold-pressed coconut oil into which a Tuberose flower has been immersed, ensuring the wonderful scent of this night-blooming flower. Because it’s made with coconut oil, the oil solidifies in cooler temperatures, but run it under warm or hot water and it’ll melt easily. This scent is hard to describe but it is truly so soothing to have on in the evening.

Skn Muse Body Oil

Skn Muse is a body and self care brand that sells body butters, candles, and cuticle oil, in addition to this body oil. The oil is a soft and powdery scent that pairs perfectly with their Madagascar Vanilla body butter. When I use the two together before bed, my skin is noticeably soft and hydrated the next morning.

54 Thrones Minona Glow Body Oil

The 54 Thrones Minona Body OIl is a luxury oil from a luxury brand—you can tell from the oils in it: Egyptian Jojoba, Ghanaian Baobab, Nigerian Moringa, Moroccan Rosehip and Argan oil. The serum is lightweight and has a distinct scent. 54 thrones describes it as smelling like “Cleopatra’s Jasmine and Neroli filled garden.”

Asé Naturals Hibiscus & Rose Lunar Body Oil

Asé Natural body oils are very lightweight and infused with elements like rose petals, hibiscus flowers and crystal to sooth your skin. This rose oil will have you literally smelling like roses, and the dropper it comes with allows for easy application to your body. This oil gave me the best soft skin feeling when I step out of my morning showers.

R&R Luxury Shea Oil

R&R Luxury is a Nigerian based brand available Kaiem, an online marketplace that sells goods made in Africa. This shea oil is pretty affordable compared to the other oils on this list, and it comes with a lot of product as well. Besides unscented, the oils come in lemongrass (great for waking you up after an AM shower) and “serenity” (a lavender scent that is great for soothing you right before bed in the evening.)

That’s it for my list of 5 Black-owned body oils for soft and hydrated skin. If you decide to try any of the oils on this list let me know! I’d love to hear how they work for you.
