As much as I love a fully glam makeup look, I wear absolutely no makeup to work five days a week. When I’m not going to a major event or church, I keep it simple with a casual no-makeup makeup look. I’ve created a full list of my favorite no-makeup makeup products for those who need a break from full coverage or like to keep it simple for most days.
Flesh Thickstick Foundation
I bought this foundation a while ago because I was enamored by the shade range I saw while it was on display at Ulta. At $18 dollars, I considered it to be relatively cheap as it was certainly more affordable that most foundations I would normally pick up at Sephora. For one, the shade match was impeccable. When I swatched it on to my skin and blended it out with my finger, I genuinely had a hard time distinguishing between where I had applied it and where I hadn’t. For a lighter coverage, I’d suggest blending out with fingers. For a more medium coverage look, feel free to use a brush.
Glossier Stretch Concealer
I first featured this concealer in a Youtube review of Glossier’s skin tint and concealer which they had launched new shades of. I have the stretch concealer in the shade G3 and it is perfect for adding a touch of coverage to any dark spots or patches of uneven skin tone that I may have at the moment. Because I’ve been doing a pretty good job of taking care of my skin, I haven’t needed to use this as much but it does come in handy at times.
Urban Decay Naked Complete Coverage Concealer
I must admit, as I was typing this I was kind of confused as to how a product with “complete coverage” in its name would make its way to my no-makeup makeup list. Trust me, this is the lightest concealer I own and I could tell as soon as I applied it for the first time. This is my go to concealer for when I need to brighten under my eyes but don’t want the heavy feel of a cream concealer. The only downside, as you can probably tell from the image below, is that the shade range of this product is abysmal. I can acknowledge that I am lucky enough to have a shade that works for me, but there is no doubt that the brand can and should do better.
Fenty Gloss Bomb
A classic. Not much needs to be said here to be quite honest. What I will say however is that you probably don’t need more than one shade of the Gloss Bomb. I own both the shades “Fenty Glow” and “Fu$$y” (still unclear on how to pronounce that by the way) and as someone with dark lips, they show up on my skin the same. As someone with fuller lips, I want to give a shout out for the amazing applicator of the gloss.
Glossier Cloud Paint
For no makeup makeup looks, I love to stick with products that I have to apply with my finger. Adding brushes and other applicators to the mix makes it way too easy to build up product. That’s why for blush, Glossier cloud paint in the shade “Dawn” for daytime looks or “Storm” for early evening looks gives the perfect, subtle pop of color on the cheek.
Glossier Play Niteshine
Yes, there is an overwhelming amount of Glossier items on this list. What can I say? They definitely have it down when it comes to no-makeup makeup products. The brand recently launched their Glossier Play collection which is meant to be the bolder, brighter companion to the original products. Even though the niteshine can pack a pretty punch, a little bit blended in with your fingers gives the most beautiful and natural highlight. Glossier gifted the niteshine to me in the shade “Molten Umber” and I used it as a highlight every single day of my recent trip to Italy.
