10 Black Owned Candles to Set the Vibe for Fall

Fall is upon us which means the return of all things pumpkin spice and apple cider. The candle shelves at your favorite department stores are filled with fall-themed candles already.  As a candle lover myself I made a personal commitment to shop Black-owned candle companies regularly, so here’s a list of 10 Black-owned candles to set the vibe for fall.

Forvr Mood – Send Moods Collection

You’ve probably heard about this candle brand made by your favorite, Jackie Aina. I’ve owned every single candle that the brand has launched and I can say with confidence that this is one of the best collections the brand has. (I’d say it’s second to the core collection.) It has a range of traditional fall scents like the cinnamon-y goodness that is “We Not Lincoln” and the coffee aromas of “Hey Big Head” but it also has atypical fall aromas with “Grown Folks Business” which is a fresh scented candle (and one of my favorites!) I recommend trying the mini set so that you can find your favorite and get it in a larger version for the rest of the season.

Glo Through it – “Abundance”

This candle will scent the food mood with scent and sound since it is made with a wooden wick that’ll create the crackling sounds you normally hear at a fireplace. With notes of apple, cinnamon, maple, and butter, it’s giving you your traditional fall aromas all at once.

The Koop NYC – Fall Collection

I thought I would tell you about one candle but The Koop’s fall collection has so many options it’s hard to pick! Choose between candles like Bake Goods which has notes of Vanilla and Dough and Sweater Weather with notes of Cashmere and Musk. There are six candles in the entire collection. Each 7 oz candle sells for $20  and has a 50+ hour burn time.

Southern Elegance Candle Co. – Fall and Holiday Collection

This candle company is ahead of the game and has you covered for both fall and winter with its holiday collection. Each of their candle scents comes in reed diffusers, wax melts, and room sprays so whatever your preferred home fragrance method is, this Black-owned candle company has you covered.

Flower & Folk – “Apple Picking Season”

If you want the fall scents in your home, but don’t want to break the bank, Flower & Folk is for you.  At $12-$16these candles are probably the most affordable on this list. There are plenty of options for fall scents beyond “Apple Picking Season” including “Cabin in the woods,” “Caramel Pumpkin Butter Bars,” and “Freshly Fallen Leaves” to name a few.

Taylor Candle and Co. – Vanilla Chai

Pumpkin spice lattes aren’t my vibe but vanilla chai lattes definitely are. If you’re in the same boat and want to steer clear of pumpkin scents, but still want to cozy vibe of a cafe, check out this candle.

Lindsey Created – “I Need Coffee”

This fall collection launched on September 15 and the scent combinations from this brand are very unique so you’re tired of traditional straightforward fall scents, you might want to check this brand out!

The Chiara Studio – Fall Collection

Last but certainly not least, the Chiara Studio recently launched their fall collection and the scents are all along the fall scent spectrum. Pick from fireside, apple + maple bourbon, Moroccan cashmere, and chardonnay (which is a really unique fall scent idea that makes sense if wine tasting of choice for fall.)

That’s it for my round-up of Black-owned candle companies to check out for your favorite fall scents. Let me know if you end up getting any of these candles by leaving a comment below. Happy Fall!
