I don’t know if it has always been this way or if it’s a result of the pandemic, but I feel like the solo date trend is on the rise and here to stay. Though I’ve been on a solo trip before, I was in the mood to treat myself to a solo date right in my city. Brookfield Place was the perfect spot for me to do just that. Here’s a recap of my day at Brookfield Place in New York City.

My Solo Date at Brookfield Place
Here’s a full rundown of my itinerary for the day and how I treated myself on this solo date:
Breakfast at Tartinery
The food options at Brookfield Place are endless. I got so excited seeing some familiar restaurants but decided to try something new by stopping by Tartinery for a late breakfast. The avocado toast was surprisingly delicious and I still think of it to this day. I also have an insane sweet tooth and as a result, wanted to try the Nutella tartine with carmelized banana. And yes, it was as good as it sounds.
Shopping at Jo Malone London
Though there are tons of retailers to choose from at Brookfield Place, as someone who loves body care and home fragrance, Jo Malone made the most sense for me to visit because they offer it all. The store is so beautifully curated and there were so many great smelling products to choose from. I ultimately left with a new candle and body wash both in the “Rose and Oud” scents. This place is perfect if you’re the type of person to want one signature scenee across your body products, perfume, and home fragrance.
A Wellness Treatment at Clean Market
It wouldn’t have been a proper solo date if there wasn’t a little bit of self-care pampering involved. Clean Market at Brookfield Place is the go-to spot for all your wellness needs. I took. a giant leap and tried something completely new for the first time: an IV drip. After going through a brief medical history screening and getting my vitals checked, the nurse hooked me up to an IV that filled me up with nutrients to detox my body (NutriCLEANSE) and gave my skin a glow (NutriGLOW). The process was so relaxing because I sat in a private room. The next day I very clearly noticed the glow in my skin and I just know I have to be back again for it as regularly as possible.
Fragrance Sampling at CosBar
I had never been to a CosBar store before, so I was very excited to find out there was one housed at Brookfield Place. If you’re not familiar, CosBar is a luxury beauty and fragrance store where you can find all of your high-end beauty needs. When I say all, I mean all. I was thrilled to see the makeup and skincare offerings, but when it came to fragrances, I was like a kid in a candy store. There were so many niche brand fragrances that I had been dying to get a whiff of before buying: Parfums de Marly, Maison Francis Kurkdijan, Kilian, Montale, and Creed just to name a few. I walked out with free samples of two new fragrances on m wishlist—MFK’s Gentle Fluidity Gold and Kilian’s Angel’s Share—and I’ll be back to pick them up at a future sale event.
Drinks at The Bungalow at Brookfield Place
I rounded out my solo date at Brookfield Place by stopping by the Bungalow for some drinks. The Bungalow BFPL is a beachside oasis right in the middle of the city. It gives you feels of being away in the Hamptons without ever having to getaway. From now through September 26 you can stop by for light bites, drinks, and lawn games like bocce ball. If you forget some sunscreen or need to reapply, this spot has you covered with some @supergoop for free. We to love see an establishment that understands the importance of sun protection. The Bungalow BFPL is probably the most IG-worthy spot, so it’s definitely worth a visit!
After the Bungalow BFLP I finally said goodbye and headed home from my solo date at Brookfield Place. Even though I had a great experience alone and highly recommend a solo date, this is a perfect spot for dates of all kinds—romantic, friend group, mother-daughter, the list goes on! So I hope you treat yourself to the experience.
